Residential Master Planning Pacific Northwest
SAGE executed numerous master planning studies in 2016–2017 for a range of sites from the Olympic Peninsula to the San Juan Islands to Central and Eastern Washington as well as up and down the I-5 corridor. Each project involved identifying the client’s goals, core values, and visions and helping the client to translate those ideas into spatial and organizational forms.
Master planning draws on the ability to listen carefully and to assemble information from diverse perspectives and find consensus. Typically using a workshop format, we gather stakeholder input, study technical and environmental site issues and present options for stakeholder input. Often our work includes community outreach, gathering input or explaining options to community groups. SAGE provided expertise and creative listening, helping clients to realize their community master planning visions. Using quick three-dimensional sketches and conceptual images for visualization tools, SAGE helped stakeholders understand their options and make the best decisions for their communities.
