Norse Home Assisted Living
CONVERT TO LICENSED ASSISTED LIVING
To better serve the needs of their aging residents, the Norse Home wanted to convert the 4th floor independent apartments to licensed assisted living. Since the building was built in the 50’s, accessibility standards, including bathroom accessibility were a significant area to be addressed.
DEPT OF HEALTH COMPLIANCE EXPERTISE
SAGE Architectural Alliance determined the necessary measures to comply with licensing requirements and prepared construction documents that allowed the client to gather pricing information about a number of bid alternates.
ASSISTED LIVING VS ADULT RESIDENTIAL CARE
For the studio units, SAGE aided the client in exploring the impact of licensing for Adult Residential Care versus full Assisted Living licensing that would allow the units to be used by Medicaid recipients. Bid documents were prepared for each option to allow the client to compare cost impacts.
